Northern Connecticut Community String Orchestra

orchestra1NCCSO is truly a multi-generational string orchestra with members of all ages and backgrounds coming together to share in the joy of music-making. This ensemble provides emerging players a foundational orchestra experience, while allowing more seasoned players to deepen their ensemble and performance skills. The mission of the NCCSO is to offer students of all ages exceptional music training, to motivate young musicians in the region, and to enrich cultural life in the area. This group performs several times each year, participating in our Community Outreach concert in November, our annual Benefit Concert in January and in our Honors recital in June.

NCCSO is open to violin, viola, cello and bass students of all ages. Students must have basic music reading skills. An audition will determine if the student will be placed in reading, intermediate or advanced level orchestra. Contact us for audition information.
