Welcome to Sound Crossing Music

Hi! Welcome to my website! My name is Amy Fish Cele. Whether you are here to look for private lessons, or to find out more about what I do, welcome to my website!

A bit about myself... I recently moved to the Texas from Connecticut where I grew up. I am excited to offer Suzuki violin lessons and other music services here in the Dallas/Mesquite area.

I have been a music educator for over 20 years, teaching early childhood music and Suzuki violin. I studied music therapy at Marywood University in Scranton, PA and completed Suzuki Registered Teacher Training in Violin and Early Childhood Education.

I founded the Music School at Sound Crossing, a nonprofit music school in Windsor, CT in 2008, where I joyfully served as Executive Director and as a violin teacher for 15 years.  I am the mother of five children – four sons and one daughter.

Suzuki Violin Lessons

The Suzuki Method is an internationally recognized educational philosophy developed by Japanese violinist, Shinichi Suzuki. He developed his method based on the idea of "talent education," a belief that is grounded by the premise that talent is something that can be developed in any child. His assertion that "Every Child Can" is based on his conviction that children learn best when the approach to education mirrors how a child naturally learns to speak his or her native language, or mother-tongue.
